not to mention和let alone，都是“何况”，但有大不同。

let alone是否定，not to mention是肯定。

举例便知：

(1) An oil tycoon, he has ten houses, twenty apartments, not to mention one hundred cars.
按：的确有车。

(2) He is so poor that he cannot even afford a bicycle, let alone a car.
按：实在无车。
