Mr. Johnson works in a company. He usually gets up at seven o’clock. Then he has breakfast, reads the paper and leaves his house at eight o’clock. Mr. Johnson is seldom late for work. Yesterday morning he got up a little late. So he didn’t have breakfast. On his way to work, that was traffic jam. The cars and buses on the road could hardly move. Mr. Johnson had to wait for a long time. He got to his office at nine o’clock. Mr. Johnson felt very sorry. Fortunately, his boss wasn’t angry at all. Because his boss was late for work, too.

Woman: Were you late for work this morning?
Man: Yes, I was. I was almost an hour late.
Woman: What did you say to your boss?
Man: I said I was terribly sorry. But he said it was quite all right.
Woman: Your boss was really nice.
Man: No, he didn’t scold me because he was late, too.
