外贸函电：提供新产品代替旧产品

奉劝对方采用新产品是绝对明智的作法。

Dear Sirs,

We thank you very much for your letter of June 15 enclosing your order for 500 pieces of Roses pattern silk cloth. We appreciate your demand for this article and should like to supply your order from stock as we have been doing.

We are the largest manufacturer supplying the goods. However recent tastes are changing and the goods you require are now out of fashion. Like other manufacturers, we have so little demand for them that we had to cease the production. We think, however, that you would like our new substitute product, a sample of which we are sending you with this letter.

This has all the good quality of the old product but its appearance is much smarter. We offer it at the price of $15 per yard C.I.F.New York for delivery within a month. We have sent the samples by special express delivery and await your immediate acceptance of the recommended goods.
