返航 returned to their departure points

近日，东方航空公司的14个航班在飞到目的地后，未降落就返航，引起了社会的广泛关注。受航班延误影响的旅客正打算发起诉讼，而国家民航局已派出工作组开始调查此次“返航事件”。

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) launched its investigation into China Eastern Airlines' pilots, who turned back midway on flights to airports they had set off from.

民航总局开始着手调查东方航空公司返航的飞行员。

Last Monday, 18 flights returned to their departure points in southwestern Yunnan province, affecting more than 1,000 passengers.
